Chad/Sudan Orphans vs. Zoe's Ark
Posted Oct 31, 2007 in the African-Countries category.
I have been wondering if it is morally correct to attempt to fly out children in a conflict-ridden state on medical or whatever grounds. Let us presume it is possible, but can any organization resort to this act without complying with international law and ethics? The French Charity Zoe’s Ark seems to have gone a mile too far, in their charity towards the Chadian/Sudan supposedly orphans that were to be flown to France for medical assistance. If what we read and heard represents Zoe’s Ark action, one would wonder if all the organizations in Sudan/Chad should resort to flying the so-called orphans to France, UK, US or ….. no child would have been left in these countries. Lets hope that time will clarify this issue, the fact that French Police began investigating Zoe’s Ark prior to this incidence gives me some sort of feeling that Zoe’s Ark is not far from being culpable. What do you think?
